“The natural world is fading out of our collective memory. We no longer recollect what nature was, like a dream it slips away as we awake. It is a gradual fading, one that transcends generations and my individual recollection of things, thus it’s hard to speak of or write about, it becomes fiction as we live it and forget it.”
